Cornish County Capers:
This Sunday’s ride will be led by Barry Hine (weather & effects permitting). A volunteer to be tail end Charlie would be appreciated. Please read the ‘Winter rides cancellation policy’ at the end of this message.
Please meet at Saltash Services Car Park, A38 Callington Rd, Saltash, PL12 6LF, (///amplified.historic.moods) from 09:00am, ready for briefing at 09:20am & 09:30am departure.
This ride does not include any goat tracks, being a combination of A & B roads. The recce ride did encounter some light flooding and some interesting surfaces, but all navigable with care. Barry will check the ride again on Saturday as a weather warning remains in place for Thursday and Friday.
From Carkeel, we make our way to Callington, Pensilva & Launceston before picking up some minor roads for refreshments at the Cobweb Inn, The Bridge, Boscastle, PL35 0HE, (///apes.classmate.elite), with its very pleasant bar featuring a log fire.
After coffee we make our way to Delabole, Wadebridge, Roche & Bugle on our way to lunch at the Borough Arms, Dunmere, Bodmin, PL31 2RD (///pardon.tastier.mailing).
After lunch we will pick up the A38 to Liskeard on our way to the Torpoint Twisties, possibly via Hessenford.
The route can be found on MyRoute PAM Members area: PAM February 26 Full Day.

Please note, as we move into the winter rides season a decision will be made by 8.00am on the day of the ride as to whether the ride will proceed. The decision to postpone/cancel a ride will be published on Slack within the Group Rides section (For clarity, no announcement means the ride is going ahead as published).
We will make every effort to broadcast the news as widely as possible but Slack should be your ‘go to’ reference point and it is your responsibility to check the status of every ride before attending.
You can join Slack, our members only channel, here: https://join.slack.com/t/plymouthadvan-hvo1178/shared_invite/zt-lblor74l-8FqDREVw9wPE~gMgky~8Gg
Please remember, the ride will be conducted in accordance with the IAM’s Group Organised Rides manual. The ride is open to all members. Associates are particularly encouraged to attend as these rides provide a great opportunity to meet fellow members and practice your skills amongst like-minded individuals. This is a social event and not an observed ride.
You are reminded that the ride leader is responsible for navigation and route guidance only. It remains your personal responsibility to exercise your own judgement about every course of action that you take, and every rider is responsible for their own actions and the consequences that those actions may have. If you’re using satnav, be advised that it will most likely try to mislead you (if it’s anything like mine), please stick with the markers.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
