Half Day Ride Sunday 19th July 2026

This Sunday’s half day ride will be led by Kevin Taylor. A volunteer to be Tail End Charlie would be appreciated.

Please meet at St Paul’s Church Car Park, Yelverton (///biggest.firebird.force) from 9.00 am, ready for briefing at 9.20 am and a prompt 9.30 am departure.

For this half day ride of 97 miles, we will ride to Princetown and across Dartmoor to Moretonhampstead, before heading north via Whiddon Down to Jonesy’s cafe at Winkleigh (///stems.blotchy.cackling) for breakfast and a brew.

Following this stop, we continue north to Great Torrington, before turning south-west and riding to Tavistock, via Hatherleigh and Okehampton.  From Tavistock we will head to Gulworthy before joining those beautiful lanes near Bere Alston , over Denham Bridge and through Buckland Monochorum and Crapstone to finish at the Old RAF Harrowbeer Airfield at Yelverton by around 1.00pm to 1.15 pm depending upon traffic.

The route will be available on the PAM MyRoute – Apppage, entitled Sunday 170726 Half Day Ride.

The ride will be conducted in accordance with the IAM’s Group Organised Rides Manual and is open to all members. Associates are particularly encouraged to attend as these rides provide a great opportunity to meet fellow members and practice your skills amongst like-minded individuals.  This is a social event and not an observed ride.

It remains your personal responsibility to exercise your own judgement about every course of action that you take, and every rider is responsible for their own actions and the consequences that those actions may have.
