Dear Member,
Following another successful AGM at the Hunting Lodge on 14th April, the future shape of your committee is as follows:
Chair: Jerry Rogers (chair@iampam.org)
Secretary: Mark Harding (secretary@iampam.org)
Treasurer: Guy Mayhew (treasurer@iampam.org)
Chief Observer: Polly Jackson (chiefobserver@iampam.org)
Associate Coordinator: Mark Pawson (ac@iampam.org)
Media/Marketing: Steve Carr (media@iampam.org)
Membership Secretary: John Tomlinson (membership@iampam.org)
Events Team Leader: Neil Gardener (events@iampam.org)
I hope you will join me in welcoming Mark H, Mark P and Steve to the committee. I’m really looking forward to working with them over the coming year.
The Associate Coordinator role is now an elected committee position, and Mark Pawson will take responsibility for all things ‘Associate’. A former Chair of Cambridge Advanced Motorcyclists and current National Observer, Mark brings a wealth of experience to the role and will work closely with Polly Jackson, our new Chief Observer, to maintain the high standards of training you have come to expect from PAM.
As Chief Observer, Polly has overall responsibility for training delivery and will focus on the professional development and support of our National Observers.
If you are an associate with the club, you should notice no change in the training you receive. Mark will be in touch in due course to see how you’re getting on and to answer any questions you may have.
Mark Harding is our new Secretary and, as such, becomes a Trustee of the club. He brings valuable professional experience to the role, complemented by his passion for motorcycling and his recent success in the Masters test.
We’re also very pleased to welcome Steve Carr as our Media and Marketing lead. With his background in web development, he brings the skills and creativity to keep our online presence dynamic and up to date.
It goes without saying that I’m delighted that Guy, Polly, John and Neil remain on the committee. They are a pleasure to work with and continue to provide a fantastic service in their respective roles.
Finally, after six years of exceptional service, Phil Stevens has stepped down from his Media/Marketing role. I cannot thank him enough for his work over the years. During his tenure, we introduced our members-only communication channel (Slack) and launched a new website, both of which have been a significant improvement. Fortunately, Phil is not going anywhere and we will still see him around. I also understand he might begin his National Observer training in the near future—an excellent next step!
Once again Phil, thank you for everything you have done.
If you have any questions or comments regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please bear with us while we update the website and other channels over the next few days to reflect these changes.
Best wishes,
Jerry
