I've been riding motorcycles since 1986 but the one thing I've learned is that you never stop learning how to be a better rider. I joined the IAM in 2008 but joined Plymouth Advanced Motorcyclists in 2024 after leaving Cambridge Advanced Motorcyclists and moving south. I'm fortunate enough to own two motorcycles, a Kawasaki ZZR1400 and a Triumph 900 RP - both very different riding experiences, but I utilise the same core advanced riding techniques.

Jon Pettey
I have been riding bikes since the age of 8, and passed my test at 19. I have taken part in many forms of riding including motocross, taking part in numerous beach races, and green-laning. I passed the Advanced Riding Test in 2019, and have been an observer for the last 2 years.

Andy Potter
Andy is a late starter and got his bike licence just in time for life to begin at 40. He leads the group Wales weekends which is the biking highlight of his year.
